SANParks Graduate Internship Programme is a unique chance for recent graduates to work at South Africa’s iconic Kruger National Park. If you want to start a career in conservation or public sector work, this 24‑month internship could be the gateway you need.
What the Internship Is All About
The South African National Parks (SANParks) has launched a graduate internship scheme that places you in one of the park’s many units. You’ll get hands‑on experience in conservation, science, finance, or communications, depending on your chosen field. The stipend ranges from R6,355.69 to R9,088.37 a month, depending on your qualification level. The program runs for 24 months and ends on 27 March 2026.
Who Can Apply
- Unemployed graduates aged 18‑35
- South African citizens only
- Hold a National Diploma, Bachelor’s or Honours Degree (NQF 6–8)
- Must not have done a similar internship before
What You’ll Gain
You’ll learn real‑world conservation skills, science techniques, financial management and communication tactics while working in one of the world’s most famous national parks. You’ll also build a professional network and gain a strong resume boost – even though the internship does not guarantee a permanent job.

- Choose the unit that matches your degree and write that unit name in your email subject line.
